Client Request Completion Guide
This guide explains how to complete audit requests as a client user in the system.
Overview
When you access a task overview page, you’ll see several key sections that help you understand and complete the audit request:
New to request fulfillment? Take a few minutes to review all sections before starting to ensure you understand the complete requirements.
1. Task Information
Task Header
- Task Name: The title of the audit workpaper or request
- Task Category: Shows the type of audit work being requested
- Copy Link: Button to copy the task URL for sharing
Task Description
- Detailed instructions from your auditor explaining what is needed
- May include specific requirements, formatting guidelines, or deadlines
- Contains @mentions of relevant team members
Task Properties
- Status: Current state of the task (e.g., In Progress, Pending Review)
- Priority: Importance level set by the auditor
- Due Date: When the request needs to be completed
- Assignee: Who is responsible for completing the task
2. Reference Files Section
Downloading Reference Files
If your auditor has provided reference files:
Individual Files
Click on any file button to download it directly
Download All
Use the “Download All” button to get all reference files in a zip archive
File Information
Each file shows its name and can be downloaded with a single click
Reference files typically contain:
- Templates or examples of what you need to provide
- Previous year’s documents for comparison
- Instructions or specifications for the requested data
3. Document Upload Section
When Upload is Required
If the task requires document uploads, you’ll see:
- Upload Document Files section
- Requested Files accordion showing what has been uploaded
- File upload interface for drag-and-drop or browse functionality
Upload Process
Upload Files
Click the upload area or drag files directly onto it
Select Data Source
Select the appropriate data source/category for your files
Wait for Processing
Wait for processing to complete (files are automatically scanned and processed)
Verify Upload
Verify your files appear in the “Requested Files” section
Important: Ensure files are not password-protected or corrupted before uploading.
4. Sample Data Table
Understanding Sample Data
If your auditor has provided sample data or template structures:
Review Sample
Look at the provided example data format to understand what’s expected.
Navigation
- Use the “Expand” button to see the full request table view
- This shows detailed column mappings and data requirements
5. Activity Section
Communication Hub
The Activity section serves as your communication center:
- View Comments: See all communications related to this task
- Add Comments:
- Type your message in the comment box
- Use @mentions to notify specific team members
- Include updates on your progress or ask questions
- Track Progress: Monitor the conversation history and task updates
Using @Mentions
@Mention Tips:
- Type
@followed by a name to notify team members - Available users are grouped by organization
- Notifications are sent automatically when you mention someone
Best Practices
Before Starting
Read Everything
Review the task description, reference files, and any existing comments
Ask Questions
If anything is unclear, use the Activity section to ask your auditor
Check Due Dates
Note the deadline and plan your work accordingly
During Upload
- File Names: Use clear, descriptive file names
- File Format: Ensure files are in the requested format (Excel, PDF, etc.)
- Completeness: Upload all requested documents at once when possible
Communication
- Stay Updated: Check the Activity section regularly for new comments
- Provide Updates: Let your auditor know about progress or any delays
- Be Specific: When asking questions, reference specific files or requirements
Common Issues and Solutions
Upload Problems
Large Files: If files are too large, contact your auditor about alternative delivery methods
Format Issues: Ensure files are in acceptable formats (not corrupted or password-protected)
Processing Delays: Wait for the system to finish processing before uploading additional files
Completion Checklist
Before marking your work as complete:
- Downloaded and reviewed all reference files
- Uploaded all requested documents
- Verified files processed successfully
- Reviewed sample data format and ensured compliance
- Added any necessary comments or explanations
- Confirmed all requirements from the task description are met
